GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE FOR LONG CIRCUITS

T&R Descobertas Portuguesas, Lda is an agency specialized in creating tailor-made trips. We offer tourist tours accompanied by experienced driver-guides, as well as self-guided tours designed as complete packages that include 24/7 virtual assistance. In addition, before departure, we organize a detailed presentation of the tour via videoconferences or phone calls according to the preferences of our clients.

Inclusions and exclusions:

For guided tours, the tickets sold for our tours include transportation from the meeting point in Porto or Lisbon depending on the chosen tour, accommodation, and breakfast. Extras are not included, as well as travel expenses from the client's home to the meeting point for the start of the tour, as well as return home expenses.

For stand-alone packages, we clearly specify what is included and excluded in the details available on our website and in your personalised travel book, provided before departure.

Booking confirmation:

The customer is required to present their booking voucher at the time of check-in as well as proof of identity for tours with a guide.

Number of participants:

In case of participation of less than 2 people, our agency reserves the right to cancel the tour or to propose a new date which could suit the client.

Responsibilities and limitations:

T&R Descobertas Portuguesas, Lda is responsible for organizing the tour and the stay. However, the company declines any responsibility for lost objects, thefts, inconveniences or delays due to changes, cancellations or closures of services by partners.

Prices and taxes:

The prices indicated include all taxes in accordance with Portuguese law.

Reservations and payments:

Reservations must be made no later than 3 weeks before departure. The reservation is confirmed after receipt of payment. Payment can be made in 2, 3, or 4 times without fees with payment of a deposit of 25% at the time of booking and then a payment schedule. All payments must be made no later than 3 weeks before departure. Travel documents will then be sent by email.

Cancellations and penalties:

For cancellation costs, you have the option of taking out cancellation insurance.

In the absence of insurance, the following penalties apply:

- Cancellation up to 30 days before departure: penalties of 25% of the total price of the trip, i.e. a refund of 75%

- Between 30 and 21 days before departure: penalties of 70% of the total price of the trip, i.e. a refund of 30%

- Between 20 and 15 days before departure: penalties of 80% of the total price of the trip, i.e. a refund of 20%

- Less than 14 days before departure: 100% penalties, no refund.

However, if it is not possible to make the trip, you have the possibility to change the date up to 3 weeks before the departure date free of charge, or to change the names of the participants free of charge also up to 24 hours before departure.

T&R Descobertas Portuguesas, Lda reserves the right to cancel or modify a tour without notice in the event of impossibility of execution due to factors external to our Agency. (strike, transport cancellation, illness, epidemic).

Our Agency has subscribed to the compulsory civil liability insurance for Travel and Tourism Agencies with our partner Allianz Portugal n° 207 090 570 - 75000 euros guaranteed amount

Special Conditions:

In some tours, the reception of children is not recommended due to the unsuitability of the tour. Please check this information for each tour with the organizer and inquire about the rates applied when children are allowed. Animals are not accepted. Our insurance complies with the requirements of Portuguese law.

Rules of Conduct:

It is strictly forbidden to stand while the minivan is in motion. If you are using a rental car for self-drive tours, you must comply with the rules of the Car Rental Agency.

Complaints:

Complaints will be considered if they are made in writing and presented directly to the guide during the tour, accompanied by factual evidence.

An electronic complaints book is available to you.

Delays and baggage:

Any delays and inconveniences external to the agency will not be taken into account. Regarding luggage, it must remain under the supervision of the customers. For tours with a guide, only one piece of hand luggage and one medium-sized bag or cabin suitcase will be accepted.
